We get asked quite a lot what makes Kensington Scott different.
The honest answer? It’s the people.
We’re a Tonbridge based team who care about doing things properly. We’re hands on. We work hard. We don’t cut corners. And we genuinely enjoy what we do.
Here’s a little bit about the team behind the projects.
Owner, CEO and Lead Designer
Jamie oversees the day-to-day running of the business. That means everything from supplier deliveries and team management to designing kitchens, bedrooms and interiors that are practical and built properly.
He’s not big on trends. If something looks good and it’s delivered to a high standard, it will always look good.
He enjoys the initial briefing stage of a project. Understanding how a family actually lives. Designing something that works for them long term, not just for photos.
Outside of work: You’ll usually find him playing football, boxing, golfing or travelling. He’s visited 25 countries across five continents so far and plans to add to that list.
Fun fact: He used to Irish dance front line as a kid.
Three words: Disciplined. Relentless. Caring.
Director
Mark has been part of Kensington Scott from the very beginning.
He works across everything. Supporting the team, dealing with trades, speaking with customers and solving problems as they come up. If something needs sorting, he’s usually involved.
Practical and functional sums him up well. A kitchen needs to work first. Looking good comes after.
He describes himself as someone who “does a bit of everything” and occasionally the grumpy old man of the team. We’ll let you decide on that one.
He’s currently a fan of media walls and drinks cabinets, especially in deep green tones.
If he were a kitchen appliance: He’d be a wine fridge. Chilled and packed with joy.
Showroom Assistant
If you’ve visited the showroom, you’ve probably met Claire.
She looks after new and potential customers in the early stages of their project and genuinely enjoys meeting people walking through the door.
Her style is confidently colourful with comfort and warmth at the heart of it. She loves choosing colours, fabrics and finishes and has a strong eye for detail.
She also has strong opinions about sinks being centred properly. She will notice. Even if you don’t.
Outside of work: She enjoys dancing and if she wasn’t here, she’d probably be cruising the world on a luxury ship.
Three words: Dedicated. Wise. Intuitive.
Operations Manager
Stefan oversees projects day to day, coordinating trades, schedules and clients to make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
He’s organised, competitive and hands on. He enjoys seeing the finished project and the customer’s reaction when it all comes together.
He’s a night owl, runs on coffee and is very competitive whether that’s in sport, work or a game of Fifa at home.
If he were a kitchen appliance: He’d be an oven. Reliable. Does a lot behind the scenes.
Kitchen Designer
Dannielle brings fresh energy into the showroom.
Her style leans towards warm contemporary luxury minimalism, with natural materials and rich tones like emerald green currently catching her eye.
She’s confident, quick witted and enjoys being part of a smaller business where everyone genuinely knows each other.
If the team were hosting dinner, she’d be in charge of presentation. Because details matter.
Marketing Manager
Iryna has been part of the team for just over a year.
She looks after marketing, content and community building. That includes organising events, creating content and making sure the right people hear about what we do.
Her personal style is warm minimalism with a European feel. Natural materials. Soft neutrals. Calm, light filled spaces that feel timeless rather than trendy.
She loves planning storage, proper storage, walk-in wardrobes especially. Everything has its place.
Right now, she’s drawn to quiet luxury. Ivory. Warm beige. Soft blue accents. Natural stone.
Outside of work: She spends time with her daughter, reads, writes poetry, sings (she has an amazing voice) and travels.
Three words: Creativity. Resilience. Persistence.
If she were a kitchen appliance: She’d be a coffee machine. Reliable. Energising. Quietly keeping everything running behind the scenes.
Her signature dish: Borscht.
If the team were cooking dinner together: She wouldn’t just cook. She’d organise the evening. Plan the atmosphere. Possibly invite musicians. It would become an event.
Kitchen Fitter
With 11 years on the team, Iain is the one fitting kitchens and bringing plans to life in homes across Tonbridge and beyond.
He enjoys seeing the finished result once everything comes together. Modern clean lines, bold colours and even loud wallpaper when it works.
He describes himself as chilled, childish and kind.
He also loves Lego. Which probably explains why everything clicks perfectly into place once he’s on site.
