How long has Kensington Scott been Established?

Kensington Scott was established in Tonbridge, Kent in June 2010, and is owned and run by Mark Cutts. Mark brings over three decades of technical knowledge and expertise to the company, enabling us to provide a full, quality kitchen design and installation service, without compromise.

Do you manage the tradesmen/tradeswomen?

Our tradesmen and women are carefully selected to bring a variety of skills to our company. Every project we undertake is fully project managed, giving total peace of mind to the customer.

How long does it take?

Really good question, as many people leave this till the last minute. We would allow a minimum of four weeks, but this really depends on how much detail and complexity there is in the design.

Will I be without cooking facilities during installation?

When we prepare the schedule for your project, we work to achieve as smooth a transition as possible, installing temporary facilities as required. We endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum.

Will I be without a sink during installation?

When we install a new sink, we always renew old pipework, wastes, and isolation valves, as standard. Therefore, you will be without a sink for a short period, but you will not be without access to water facilities, installing temporary sinks as required.

Can I afford a Kensington Scott kitchen?

At Kensington Scott we offer kitchens to suit every budget, and have ranges that competitive with many of the DIY outlets. Our designers work closely with our customers, and will work to achieve your dream kitchen within the budget available.

Can I reduce the cost by project managing it myself?

The kitchen project can be managed by the customer, but some installations can be quite complex, which can ultimately, not be cost effective.

Can I purchase appliances elsewhere?

You can purchase your appliances elsewhere, this does however come with some risk involved, i.e. damages, wrong items delivered. This can then delay the installation, and impact on the completion of the whole project. Kensington Scott are able to offer Bosch, Neff and Siemens products at very competitive prices.

What is included in my quote?

Our quotation service is very clear and comprehensive, and includes all elements required for your kitchen project, leaving no hidden extras.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Occasionally things don’t go as planned. But at KS we will always update and inform you, as soon as possible, and work to sort out a solution. We pride ourselves at KS on outstanding customer care.

How is waste managed and how do you recycle?

All waste is disposed/recycled by licensed waste contractors.

Are gas, electrical and building certificates provided?

We provide gas, electrical, and building certification for all of the installations we undertake.

Do you take on building projects?

At KS were are able to take on all aspects of building work. From boiler installs, to large extension projects.

What is the lead time from placing an order to installation?

This does vary from 3 weeks to 8 weeks, depending on the range chosen.

What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are as follows 40% deposit on order, a further 50% upon commencement of the project and the remaining 10% once the project is complete. These terms change to 50% deposit and 50% before delivery on a supply only basis. We accept cheque, debit cards and credit cards.
